Safeguarding children’s health

The lack of this basic toxicity information on most high volume chemicals is a serious issue for risk assessment, safeguarding children s health, expanding the publie s right-to-know, and promoting the pollution prevention ethic which are important EPA initiatives. 

If she lacks capacity and antenatal care can be justified for her own health and welfare, it can be given in her best interests, under the MCA. If the care can only be argued for the sake of the foetus (or she has capacity but refuses input), discuss with Trust lawyers, the Child Safeguarding lead and Children s Social Services. A case conference may be needed. Keep assessing her wishes, since these may change as mania resolves.
