S-H vibrational modes

For tungsten disulfide dosed with hydrogen, in addition to the S-H bending at 694 cm , there are broad weak overtone peaks at 1380 and 2074 cm , and a broad, weak peak between 2500 and 2700 cm assigned to the S-H stretch (i.e. perpendicular to the surface) [129]. [Pg.349]

The 650 cm S-H bend peak is also observed on a nickel-promoted M0S2 catalyst [137]. On alumina-supported catalysts this peak was also observed but the spectra were obscured by strong scattering from hydroxyl groups on alumina. The intensity of the 650 cm peak was weaker than expected from hydrogen uptake measurements, possibly a result of spillover from M0S2 to alumina [137]. [Pg.349]
