Rothko, Mark

Mark Rothko, Ad Reinhardt, Barnett Newman, Kenneth Noland, and Ellsworth Kelly. 

I didn t even admit this to myself, but I used to think that art museums were not worth the bother. 1 thought most of the images could be seen online. Then 1 discovered Mark Rothko through Simon Schama s The Power of Art and 1 repented of my error. After that, 1 drove to the next state just to see an exhibit of Rothko s paintings at the Portland Museum of Art. 1 only regret that I didn t go twice. 

Then I discovered Mark Rothko through. .. Simon Schama. The Power of Art. 2006, Ecco.
