Rotator muscle strengthening

Tendonitis is a common finding in shoulder pain. Because the biceps tendon and the supra-spinatus muscle and tendon pass through the suprahumeral space, it is common for them to be irritated during forceful use of the shoulder, especially when the shoulder has not been prepared for such activity. Strengthening of the rotator cuff muscles and warming up of all shoulder muscle groups should be done prior to strenuous use of the shoulder. [Pg.467]
