Roemeria hybrida

The bark of Phoebe grandis (Lauraceae) gave the known aporphines, boldine, norboldine, laurotetanine and lindecarpine while the leaves yielded two new alkaloids, phoebegrandines A (26) and B (27) [37], which belong to the rare proaporphine-tryptamine group of compounds exemplified by roehybridine (28) (syn series) and roemeridine (29) (anti series) from Roemeria hybrida [38,39], The structure of 29 was previously established by X-ray analysis [40]. [Pg.321]

New proaporphines are crociflorinone (1), obtained from Colchicum kesselringii (C. crocifbrum), and roehybrine (2), found in Roemeria hybrida (L.) DC. ... [Pg.170]

Slavik and Slavikova showed that the content of alkaloids in Glaucium fimbrilligerum is closely related to the species G. elegans, G. oxylobum, and G. squamigerum (205). (—)-Isocorypalmin (58r) was found not only in O. fimbrilligerum but in Bocconia frutescens and Roemeria hybrida (see Table II). Until now it was only isolated from P. somniferum as a minor component. This alkaloid is, however, commonly found in the botanically and biochemically closely related tribe Fumarieae. [Pg.513]

Roemeria hybrida Thalictrum dioicum T. longipedunculatum T. minus T. polyganum... [Pg.135]

The genus Roemeria Medic, comprises approximately 10 species, of which only R. hybrida (L.) DC. and R. refracta (Stev.) DC. have been studied for their alkaloid content (Tables XIX and XX). From R. hybrida, Platonova et al. (110) isolated protopine (309) as the major alkaloid together with roemeridine. In contrast to Soviet authors, Slavik et al. (Ill) were not able to detect the presence of protopine (309) in their plant material. They isolated roemeridine as the main component. In two herbal samples of R. hybrida from Iraq, the major alkaloid was roehybrine (103) (57). [Pg.32]

Aristolochiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Lilia-ceae, Magnoliaceae, Menispermaceae, Papaveraceae, Ranunculaceae). Anonaine is found mainly in Annona reticulata (Annonaceae), bulbocapnine in Corydalis cava (Fumariaceae), isothebaine especially in Papaver orientate and P. bracteatum, magnoflorine in Magnolia obovata (Magnoliaceae) and Aquilegia hybrida (Ranunculaceae), and roemerine in Roemeria refracta (Papaveraceae) and Nelumbo nucifera (Nelumbona-ceae). A. a. are soluble in chloroform, alcohol, and ether, poorly soluble in water. [Pg.48]
