Albumin labeling was carried out using ATTO 488 NHS ester and ATTO 565 NHS ester (Sigma-Aldrich, Switzerland) as fluorescent dyes. The structure of ATTO 488 is the undisclosed property of Atto-Tec GmbH, Siegen, Germany (www.atto-tec.com). ATTO 565 is a rhodamine-based dye.
