2 Revised Provisions on Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances (Order Number 7) 

To strengthen the Provisions on the Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances, the MEP issued Order Number 7 in 2010 [144]. Sometimes referred to as China REACH, the revised Provisions include additional administrative requirements, reporting requirements, and data collection.

Order Number 7 reflects a tiered system for notifying the government of the manufacture or importation of new chemicals  

The amount of data required with each notification and the requirement to perform a risk assessment depends on the toimage band. Table 3.8 summarizes the data requirements by annual production amount [145]. One can use existing data to exempt a filing from some of these data requirements under certain circumstances. The regulations do not allow for the use of QSAR [146].
