Reverse water gas shift reaction RWGSR

Extensive attempts have been made to utilize CO2, which is a nontoxic and readily available raw material, in place of toxic CO. The underlying principle is the reduction of CO2 to CO, that is, the reverse water gas shift reaction (RWGSR). In this reaction, ruthenium cluster anions exhibit high catalytic activity, and the resulting CO further reacts with hydrogen to give the products.
