Davison et al. [73] produced hydrogen peroxide in a trickle-bed cell design (Fig. 15) with graphite chips and reticulated vitreous carbon (RVC) cathodes in 2 M NaOH electrolyte. Using graphite chips as the cathode, the current efficiency was 100% for H2O2 evolution at potentials more positive than - 0.7 V vs. SCE. Under identical conditions the RVC cathodes exhibited similar behavior up to -0.7 V. [Pg.387]

The evolution of the destruction process that accompanies the rubber crosslinking by vulcanisation can be followed by kinetic calculations, starting from the number of reticulated stmctural units on each elastomer macromolecule, which represents the fundamental characteristic of this process. Denoting this parameter by r it can be written [1209] ... [Pg.282]

Biogeographical convergence is produced when different biotas are put into contact (Hallam, 1974). It possibly results in dispersal and reticulated, nonhierarchical, evolution of biotas. Convergent biotas are analogous to hybrids in systanatics and therefore cannot be resolved with cladistic techniques that are tuned to the discovery of branching hierarchical relationships. [Pg.3]
