Results of Weaning Protocols

Is the minute ventilation 15 L/min Fi02 60% PEEP 10 cmH20 is the patient alert  

If yes, start spontaneous breathing trial with artificial nose or CPAP 5 C111H2O or PSV 7 cmH20. Question 3 

Does the patient present signs of distress as RR 35/inin Sa02 90% with Fi02 40% HR 145 b/min or increase in HR 20% arrhythmias systolic pressure 180 or 70 mmHg agitation If no distress signs after 120 minutes, extubate patient or stop ventilation. 

If yes under spontaneous breathing repeat the test during PSV 7-10 cmH20 

If yes under spontaneous breathing and PSV 7—10 cmH20 start the weaning process using
