Resource Bagasse in Industries

Agave bagasse is waste product in Tequila production in Mexico. Following is typical chemical analysis of bagasse on a washed basis [14, 15] cellulose 45-55%, hemicellulose 20-25%, lignin 15-24%, ash 1-4%, waxes 1%. 

In contrast, for example, typical bagasse made of sugarcane is quantitatively composed by 38.8-45.5% cellulose, 22.7-27.0%
