Requirements of a Health and Safety Policy

A Health and Safety Policy Statement should meet at least the following requirements  

It should contain a statement concerning the reduction of injuries and health 

It should mention compliance to applicable safety and health laws It must be signed by the executive officer 

It must include reference to a process of continued improvement in safety It should be communicated to all employees It must be made available to interested parties It must be reviewed periodically It should be prominently displayed
