Relevant issues in industrial processes

There are several features of current industrial oxidation processes where the adoption of alternatives involving H2O2 offer environmental advantages, some of which were indicated above. In order of priority, these are seen as  

Replacement of stoichiometric metal oxidants (recovery, disposal, environmental persistence problems) 

Replacement or reduction of solvent usage (recovery, effluent oxygen demand/biodegradability problems) 

Avoidance of salt by-products (some effluent problems)
