Recycling continued overview

The PVC industry is actively involved in the development of recycling solutions for contaminated mixed plastics waste streams with a high PVC content. Potential technologies for achieving this goal are tested at present at pilot scale. This paper provides an overview of the projects under investigation and the results obtained so far, while development work continues. 9 refs. [Pg.47]

After the fusion of a synaptic vesicle, the RRP is refilled from the recycling pool of synaptic vesicles. For central nervous system synapses (e.g., synapses of hippocampal neurons), the recycling pool of synaptic vesicles consists of approximately 30 vesicles, approximately three to five times the number of RRP vesicles (15, 16). During repetitive synaptic stimulation, the rapid refilling of the RRP from the recycling pool sustains continuous neurotransmitter release. An overview of the synaptic vesicle cycle is shown in Fig. 1. [Pg.1250]

A concise overview of recycling modes for chiral catalysts, including enzymes, is given by Kragl et al. [15]. The technical aspects of the application of continuously operated chemical membrane reactors was covered by Woltinger et al. [16, 17]. [Pg.820]

An overview of the processes discussed in this chapter is given in Table 6.1. Whilst primary mechanical recycling will continue to he common practice amongst plastics processors, secondary recycling... [Pg.93]
