Recombination nonreciprocal

HETEROALLELIC DIPLOID A diploid that contains two different mutant alleles of a gene because the mutations are at different sites, a functional (wild-type) allele can be produced from the heteroallelic pair by intragenic (generally nonreciprocal) recombination. [Pg.242]
