Reactions of sulphamate and related species

Rates of hydrolysis of sulphamate have been examined -in aqueous [Pg.336]

Sulphite ion reacts with sulphamate , the rate equation, corrected for the back reaction, being (c/, also p. 305) [Pg.336]

Imidodisulphamide (NH2 S02-NH-S02 NH2) is said to be a strong acid in aqueous solution which hydrolyzes slowly by the first-order process [Pg.337]

In weakly alkaline solutions, first order decomposition, presumably involving attack by water, has been found. Acid-catalysed reaction is also observed and a hydroxide ion-catalyzed process  [Pg.337]

In the reaction, sulphate and fluoride are formed, and analysis for the latter provides a convenient procedure for rate studies. The acid-catalyzed reaction has been compared to a reaction of the hexafluorogermanate ion. The following values are reported for rate coefficients and energies of activation [Pg.337]
