In contrast, the salt of the 1,7- isomer, Li J1,7-C jB, qH, ], simply results in the derivitization of the skeletal carbon atoms to give low yields of the di(acid chloride). 

In a somewhat related reaction, a doubly lithlated tricyclo[4.1.0.0 Jheptylsilane has been cyclized to yield a [4.1.1]propellane derivative [311b]  

Treatment of the potassium salt of the cyclopentadienyl species illustrated below with COClj gave unstable orange crystals of molecular formula C, jH CljN Oj, of uncertain structure [1352].
