Reactions of Partly Chlorinated 1,3,5-Trisilacyclohexanes with MeMgCl

2 Reactions of Partly Chlorinated 1,3,5-Trisilacyclohexanes with MeMgCl [Pg.156]

This corresponds closely to the reaction of one CCI2 group between two Si-atoms in linear carbosilanes such as (Cl3Si)2CCl2. [Pg.156]

However, the 1,3,5-trisilacyclohexane 293 containing two CCI2 groups reacts with an excess of MeMgCl via ring contraction, whereby cyclopentene 2 is produced [Pg.156]

The first step involves metallation, followed by a rearrangement yielding a 1,3-disilacyclopentene. Finally a series of methylation reactions occurs  [Pg.156]
