Radiation, basic concepts particles

Modeling plays an Important role for the mechanistic understanding of radiation action as well as for practical applications in radiation protection and radiotherapy. This section will thus give a brief overview over some basic concepts developed In particular to describe the biological action of heavy charged particle beams.
