Quinoline systematic name

Systematic name l-(Mcthylthio)-2-tnethyl-5,6-dihydro-4f/-pyrrolo[3,2,l-ij]quinoline. [Pg.44]

Substance E R = H and R = F systematic name is 1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-7-(piperazin-l-yl)quinolin-4(l//)-one (also known as the decarboxylated compound). [Pg.186]

If you like systematic names, you can call methoxatin 4,5-dihydro-4,5-dioxo-lH-pyrrolo[2,3-f quinoline-2,7,9-trioarboxylio acid. But you may feel, like us, that methoxatin and a diagram or the tag name the tricarboxylic acid are better. [Pg.48]

Quaternary salts have systematic names such as triethylmethylammonium chloride, - - - -trimethyl-anilinium bromide, 1-methylquinolinium picrate. Quaternary salts are, however, often handled by an older method, as metho-salts, 6.., triethylamine methochloride, quinoline methopicrate this older method should not normally be used, though it is useful for compounds of uncertain composition (cf. hydrochloride, eic.). Salts derived by addition of Me2S04 are named after the pattern of 1-methylpyrid-inium methyl sulphate or naphthalene-l,6-diamine monomethosulphate, the trivial name methosulphate... [Pg.81]

The systematic work carried out by Fetzner group with enzymatic catalysis resulted in the identification of four pathways of aerobic degradation of quinoline (and its derivatives) [326], shown in Fig. 23. The four pathways are named on the basis of the metabolic intermediates identified in the respective pathways, some steps and reactions have been considered in previously described pathways, but are included here to show the comprehensive nature of this work. [Pg.157]

The trivial name methoxatin has a systematic alternative 4,5-dihydro-4,5-dioxo-1 H-pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline-2,7,9-tricarboxylic acid. Both are valid names. There are no prizes for guessing which one is used more often. [Pg.44]
