Quantitative analysis of rare earth element with simulated concentration

2 Quantitative analysis of rare earth element with simulated concentration [Pg.478]

7/4 transition band) was observed at wavenumber range 20 000-22 000 cm and Sm absorption 4 [Pg.478]

The quantitative analysis of Nd, Pr, and Sm by absorption spectrophotometry was possible for a LiCl-KCl eutectic melt including trichlorides of Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd. The concentration was determined with 15% uncertainty for Nd, 24% for Pr, and 41% for Sm. The determined concentration of Nd was most reliable, and hence it can be useful as an indicator in monitoring the concentration of rare earth elements in the pyroreprocessing process. [Pg.480]
