Pterocarpus indicus

Pometia pinnata Forst./Malugai Pterocarpus indicus Willd./—... [Pg.106]

Anodendroic acid 68 has been isolated from Anodendron affine Durce while euparin 69 and pterofuran 70 have been obtained from Eupatoriumpurpureum and Pterocarpus indicus respectively. The synthesis of (+) anodendroic acid 6< , euparin 69 and pterofuran 70 also involves use of copper acetylide. The dihydrobenzo-furan, intermediate 67 has been converted to (+) anodendroic acid 68... [Pg.120]

Isol. from Dahlia variabilis, also from Pterocarpus spp., Robinia pseudoacacia, Cicer arietinum, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Pterocarbus indicus and other leguminosae. Yellow cryst. (EtOH aq.). Mp 200-204 . 4 -0-p-D-Glucopyranoside [59122-93-9]. Neoisotiquiritin C21H22O9 M 418.399... [Pg.150]

The dyestuff santahn, used in the manufacture of a number of lake pigments, is made by extraction with ether from tiie ground wood of Pterocarpus santalinus L.f (south-east India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Philippines and East Timor) and P. indicus (India, Malaysia, Mayanmar, Andamans, Phihppines, Soutii China) (Mabberley, 1998). The crystals thus formed are precipitated from tiieir solution in alcohol by lead acetate as a lead salt. This is then decomposed witii sulphuric acid, and the solution is separated from tile lead sulphate and concentrated, the santalin separating out as small red crystals (Zerr and Rtibencamp, 1906). [Pg.332]
