Pt deposition in the membrane eould follow this reaetion [33]  

Hydrogen from the anode erosses over flirough the membrane toward the cafliode. It ehemieally reduees oxidized platinum species (such as Pt or Pt ) in the membrane into platinum metal. The platinum nucleates and grows in flie membrane close to flie cathode. Meanwhile, hydrogen and oxygen could be catalyzed by the platinum particles to form water
