Proton pump inhibitors NSAID-associated ulcers

NSAIDs can increase gastric distress. Ulcers caused by NSAID use may be asymptomatic, or the symptoms may be attributed to the GERD. The client should use the prescribed receptor blocker, proton-pump inhibitor, or an antacid to relieve the discomfort associated with GERD. [Pg.116]
