Prostrate cancer, treatment

One treatment for prostrate cancer involves inserting three grains of gold into the prostrate, using ultrasound. This allows physicians to accurately determine the position of the prostrate during radiation treatments. 

Capsaicin and Prostate Cancer. Recently, capsaicin has been shown to have profound antiproliferative effect on different prostate cancer cells due to novel mechanisms of action. This compound, when given orally, significantly slowed the growth of prostrate cancer xenografts as measured by size and weight (Mori A et al. 2006). The results of this smdy suggest that capsaicinoids may have a role in the treatment of prostate cancer.
