Processing of Toxic or Explosive Materials

Vacuum dryer installations are closed systems that are ideally operated with no mass transfer from or to the environment. 

The gas atmosphere consists of pure solvent vapours. Even in case of slight air leakage there is no risk for an explosion as the vapour density (vacuum) is below critical values. 

An emission of toxic products out of the system is also unlikely because of the higher (atmospheric) pressure outside the process area.
