Other developers have used differeut salt mixes with NaCl replacing LiCl or even KCl because of the cost associated with recovery from electrolyte bleed to control impurities. 

A number of different ceU designs have been proposed, but these are based on the use of a brick-lined cell with graphite electrodes. Major differences arise from the configuration of the electrodes.
