Process structure spatial domain

A methodology based on the (mmbiimtion of SANS with process-based reconstruction t hniques is develop in an effort to represent in a sufficiently accurate manner the structure of two different silica gels. Appropriate mathematical transformation of SANS spectra provides valuable information about the disordered garmetry of the gels, in terms of the corresponding Rz(u). The resulting reconstructed domains rev similar statistic properties with the actual materials and can be further used for the simulation of equilibrium (caption) and dynamic (diffusion and perm tion) processes. Since some structural and dynamic features of w/o microemulsions are similar to those of cellular membranes, such as dominance of interfacial effects and coexistence of spatially separated hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanoscopic domains, the formation of nanoparticles of some inorganic salts in microemulsions could be a very simple and realistic way to model or to mimic some aspects of biomineralization processes [216,217]. 

Under the diffusive laminar flow conditions, the ability to add reagents at specific locations or times leads to the unique ability to control and monitor the spatial and temporal domain of dynamic chemical processes.
