Problems Connected with the Kinetic Theory of Dense Gases [Pg.172]

All of the problems discussed above in connection with the Boltzmann equation carry over to the kinetic theory of dense gases. In addition to the obvious analogs of the problems mentioned above, the following problems need to be solved. [Pg.172]

Can one specify precisely the entire class of intermolecular potentials for which the four-body term in the density expansion of the kinetic equation is divergent in three dimensions, or the three-body term in two dimensions  [Pg.172]

Can one show that the summation of the most divergent, or ring terms in the density expansion of the kinetic equation completely determines the coefficient of the log n term in the density expansion of the transport coefficients, i.e., that this coefficient is not affected by other, less divergent, terms  [Pg.172]

Can one determine the behavior of the time correlation functions for all times, over a wide range of densities, and for the class of intermolecular potentials considered here, as illustrated in Fig. 1  [Pg.172]
