Presenting LSE Data

The most common presentation of LSE data is a table like Table 11.5. We see that the solubility of NaCl in water increases very slowly with increases in temperature. [Pg.195]

Example 11.10 Table 11.5 shows the most commonly reported unit for reporting such solubility. Show the corresponding values of the weight fraction and mol fraction of NaCl in a saturated solution in water at 20°C  [Pg.195]

LIQUID-LIQUID, LIQUID OLID, AND GAS-SOLID EQUILIBRIUM [Pg.196]

This simple example is included to show the relations among the three most common ways of expressing LSE data. [Pg.196]

FIGURE 11.13 Solubility of various calcium salts, expressed in ppm by weight, as a function of temperature [13]. Observe the scale changes at 100 and 200 ppm. (Used with permission of Betz Dearborn, Inc., Trevose, PA.) [Pg.196]
