Prescription drugs enzyme inhibitors

Duloxetine is metabolized by CYP2D6, the activity of which it inhibits to a moderate extent. Caution is therefore needed when duloxetine is co-prescribed with other drugs that are substrates of this enzyme. Duloxetine is also partly metabolized by CYP1A2, so blood concentrations of duloxetine might be increased by co-prescription of potent inhibitors of CYP1A2 (1). [Pg.99]
