Preparation of oligoethylsiloxanes

Oligoethylsiloxanes are a mixture of liquid products, mainly of the linear structure  [Pg.175]

Oligoethylsiloxanes are obtained by the hydrolytic condensation of ethylethoxysilanes synthesised by Grignard reaction, or by the hydrolytic condensation of diethyldichlorosilane with subsequent catalytic regrouping of the hydrolysis products. [Pg.175]

The production of oligoethylsiloxanes by the hydrolytic condensation of ethylethoxysilanes is described below. [Pg.175]

The synthesis of ethylethoxysilanes takes place when ethylchloride interacts with tetraethoxysilane in the presence of magnesium in toluene medium  [Pg.175]

It is accompanied by a secondary reaction C2H5MgCI + C2H5CI ----------- C4H10 + MgCI2 [Pg.176]
