Preparation of Novel Polyimides

The IR spectra of poly(amic acid) BAPDM/PMDA(PAA) and the corresponding polyimide BAPDM/PMDA(PI) are shown in Fig. 2.7. The IR spectrum of poly(amic acid) BAPDMZPMDA(PAA) [Fig. 2.7(A)] showed major absorption peaks at 1666, 1537, and 1715 cm assigned to amide I, amide II, and carbonyl group (C=0), respectively, and characteristic absorption around 3250 cm for N-H and 0-H groups. In the spectrum of the polyimide BAPDM/PMDA(PI). [Fig. 2.7(B)] obtained by thermal imidization, the characteristic bands at 1760 and [Pg.84]
