Precipitation and E-pH Diagrams

In order to determine the changes in a single element E-pH diagram that occur due to the addition of a precipitating species and the resulting formation of an insoluble compound, the following five steps may be followed. 

The solubility of a specific compound may also be found in literature references such as Lange s Handbook of Chemistry or the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics. These references have extensive listings of inorganic compounds and their aqueous solubilities.
