According to Lehmann and Kruger, the reaction of SO3 with KCIO4 produces potassium trisulfate and ClgO the latter dissolves in the excess SO3. The residue obtained on vacuum evaporation of the excess SO3 and the ClgO is chlorine-free, stoichiometric K 383010. [Pg.1715]
