Potassium Samarium Selenates

The anhydrous compound is obtained by dehydration of KSm(Se04)2-4H20 in one step at 500°C (DTA peak at 130°C), Nabar, Paralkar [10], or by dehydration of KSm(Se04)2-2.5H20 between 127 and 167°C (TG), DTA peak at 190°C, lonashiro, Giolito [9]. For behavior on further heating, see p. 513. [Pg.512]

The mixture of the metal carbonates is treated with the stoichiometric amount of H2Se04 and the filtered solution is subsequently concentrated followed by crystallization in air. Dehydration and decomposition is studied by TG, DTG, and DTA at 6 K/min heating rate and is represented by the following scheme  [Pg.513]
