Potassium Lanthanum Selenates

In the last step, K2Se04 is evaporated and the final residue consists almost entirely of La203, lonashiro, Giolito [3]. 

The dihydrate forms on heating KLa(Se04)2 6H20 at 100°C. The pycnometrically determined density is 3.57 g/cm at 25°C. On further heating at 220°C anhydrous KLa(Se04)2 is formed, Gomez Madrazo et al. [4].
