Summary Condensation reactions of cyclopentadienyl silanetriols (Cp Si(OH)3) with zirconium tetra-t-butoxide yield oligomeric zirconasiloxanes. Various types of polyhedral structures can be obtained by small structural modifications of the reactants or by variation of reaction parameters.
