Polyenes PE spectra

As a real example we show in Figure 2 the PE spectrum of 1,1-divinylcyclopropane (46 in Table 1), taken from the considerable number of diene and polyene PE spectra published by R. Gleiter and his coworkers. In the second column of the insert (5) are listed the / values in eV corresponding to the first bands of 46. 

In the following we shall discuss the different models in context with their application to particular problems arising in the discussion of diene and polyene PE spectra.
