Poly diaza-crown ether

Poly(diaza-crown ether)s (PMC) (MC=macrocyclic ligand)... 

The synthesis of polymers containing diaza-crown ether groups in the main chain, i.e., poly(diaza-crown ether)s, has been recently achieved by incorporating these groups into macromolecular structures of conventional type, such as epoxy polymers 48,49,50) p0iyethers, and polyamides51>. In the former case, water soluble polymers could be obtained. 

The complexation properties of various poly(diaza-crown ether)s have been studied either in water, or in organic solvents, according to their solubilities. Polymers prepared from epichlorohydrine (Epic) or diepoxyoctane (Epico) are water soluble. The structures of the repeating units of these polymers are depicted in Table 9.
