Pollutants multiresidue methods

The European drinking water guidelines set a maximum admissible concentration of 0.10 pgL for individual pesticides and their related compounds in drinking water. The recommended methods for oxime carbamates and their metabolites in groundwater and surface water are suitable for detection limits below 0.10 pgL. The first method is the HPLC/lluorescence multiresidue method of de Kok et al The second method is an HPLC/MS/MS method of DuPont Crop Protection which is specific for oxamyl and may be applicable for the analysis of other oxime carbamates in heavily polluted waters. [Pg.1160]

A single multiresidue method was developed to determine 109 priority compoimds listed in the 76/464/EEC Coimcil Directive on Pollution of the EU [49]. For trapping analytes, automated off-line SPE with a polymeric sorbent "Oasis" 60 mg cartridge, was optimized. A multianalyte method for the confirmation and quantitation of 16 selected sulfonylurea, imidazolinone, and sulfonamide herbicides in surface water has been proposed [50]. This method is based on analyte extraction with a polymeric material (RP-102) and extract cleanup with a strong anion exchanger (SAX) cartridge stacked on... [Pg.507]

Due to their comprehensive approach, multiresidue analytical methods have become preferred tools for tracking down different compound classes at low nanogram per liter levels. They allow determination of a large number of micropollutants in a single analysis, thus reducing its time and cost. In an ideal case, a multiclass—multiresidue analytical method for determination of trace organic pollutants in environmental matrices should fulfill several criteria, such as... [Pg.392]
