Polarisation properties of Raman scattering

The depolarisation ratio, p, of a feature in the Raman spectrum is defined as [Pg.37]

Under resonance or near resonance Raman conditions in certain rare cases it is possible to observe anomalously polarised bands with p 3/4. This phenomenon is discussed in the literature [7]. [Pg.38]
