At the beginning of the project, a commercial vendor for the material was not available. However, since commencement of the project, the material has been licensed to Poco Graphite, Inc., and a commercial product is now available. It has been shown that the commercially available material is superior in quality and thermal properties than that initially produced at ORNL. It is anticipated that the results gained here will translate directly to the POCO material and, therefore, it is expected that the commercial product will exhibit higher thermal properties in the reactor than that used for this project. [Pg.66]

The most available graphite plate is made by POCO (Pure Oil Company), a division of Entegris Inc. A variety of high-strength isotropic graphite is produced by POCO where PyroCell is the most known product with very low porosity. [Pg.262]
