Lead acetate 4101 Pb(C2K302)2>3H20 Lead dlacetate plumbic acetate salt of aatum sugar of lead. [Pg.13]

Plumbic acetate forms a white ppt., insoluble in dilute acids. [Pg.115]

Analjrtical Characters.—(1.) Barium chlorid (or nitrate) a white ppt., insoluble in acids. The ppt., dried and heated with charcoal, forms BaS, which, with HCl, gives off HaS. (2.) Plumbic acetate forms a white ppt., insoluble in dilute acids. (8.) Calcium chlorid forms a white ppt., either immediately or on dilution with two volumes of alcohol insoluble in dilute HCl or HNOa. [Pg.100]

Argentic nitrate. Mercuric chlorid. Plumbic acetate. [Pg.494]

Lead dioxide is widely used as an oxidizing agent in the arts as well as in the laboratory. It reacts with strong bases with the formation of plumbates, M2Pb03 and dissolves in strong acids, presumably forming plumbic salts. It will not react with weaker acids, such as acetic (c/. the preparation of lead tetracetate, synthesis 17). [Pg.45]
