Platinum complexes organotin reagents

Organotin reagents are useful synthetic reagents for the synthesis of alkyl platinum complexes. The reactivity of SnMcsAr compounds parallels the ease of electrophilic substitution at the Ar—bond. Much of this work has been developed by Eabom and Pidcock, and in equations (159)-(162) a number of examples are given where these reagents have been successfully used.
