Among die isoindoline pigments is Pigment Yellow 139. a reddish yellow pigment which differs in color as a function of particle size. The opaque version is the reddest. Although marginal in chemical resistance the pigment is used in the paint and plastics industries. [Pg.1312]

A weak point of isoindoline pigments is their sensitivity to alkali. In aqueous printing inks and paints, products with fine primary particles are not stable in storage. Plastics containing alkaline additives may undergo discoloration. [Pg.224]
