Piping codes and specifications

Piping systems are similar to process vessels in that they are required to contain process fluids but unlike process vessels in that the fluids in pipes are moving. The design of piping systems is therefore governed by a different set of codes. Table 3-3 lists some of the piping codes and published literature that should be consulted for safe design.
