Piperidinium hydrochloride

Piperidinium hydrochloride [6091-44-7] M 121.6, m 244-245°. Crystd from EtOH/ethyl ether in the presence of a small amount of HCl. [Pg.310]

Among the amines proposed, piperidine is most frequently used in SPPS it forms an adduct with dibenzofulvene which is readily removed by washing the resin. Typical conditions are 30% piperidine/DMF for 10 minutes,P l 20% piperidine/DMF for 10 minutes,0 >2 61 550/0 piperidine/DMF for 20 minutes,30% piperidine in toluene/DMF (1 1) for 11 min-utes,f °l 23% piperidine/NMP for 10 minutes,or 20% piperidine/NMP for 18 min-utes.f 0 Piperidine/CH2Cl2 should not be used, since a precipitate is formed, most probably deriving from decomposition of CH2CI2, i.e. the piperidinium hydrochloride.An inexpensive alternative to piperidine is diethylamine (DEA), with standard conditions being 60% DEA/DMF within 3 hourst z] or 10% DEA/DMA for 2 hours.t 31... [Pg.65]

Compound III, (/ )-l-methyl-4-(l-naph-thylvinyl)piperidinium hydrochloride, was found to be most effective among the (naph-thylvinyl)pyridine derivatives. It is reported further that (III) showed no inhibition of cholineacetyltransferase the protection action was therefore not related to inhibition of the latter. [Pg.678]

These reactions are best carried out in toluene and/or EtOAc using piperidine/Ac20, or piperidinium salts as well as other amine salts. Hydrochloride salts tend to be even more reactive. L-Proline does not work well for this reaction contrary to other literature accounts, especially in EtOAc. [Pg.69]
