We have therefore developed a technique which allows the rapid elution of chl-protein complexes from the gel and which includes a further purification step (see Fig. 1). Upon reversed-electrophoresis, small molecules like SDS and SDS-complexed free pigments migrate fast into solution 1 and collect as a boundary layer between solution 1 and 2.
