Conventionally, molecular uptake is recorded gravi-metrically [18-20]. Alternatively, for a limited supply of adsorbate, molecular uptake may also be calculated from a knowledge of the time dependence of the pressure (piezometric method [21, 22]) or composition of the gas phase.
